The best part of the holiday was the Barley Mow Pub. Steve and Carrie, Will and Cheryl are the friendliest people you could wish to meet.
I would recommend any one to go there. Tell them we told you to go. Great entertainment, free shots, free cocktails. Steves music quiz is fantastic.
Do yourself a favour and visit the Barley Mow!!!

We recommend The Barley Mow, welcomed by Steve & Carrie, the owners, also Cheryl & Karen the barstaff. PS Steve is a Darlington fan so if you are from thereabouts you will get an even warmer welcome, if that is at all possible!

for convenience and yummy snacks we ate in the Barley Mow so we can watch the entertainment too and eat at the same time whilst doing the quiz.

Check out Steve at the Barley Mow which is just down the road from Il Cavliere. This was a really nice pub, not too noisy and he will play any musical request you want. All you have to do is ask!

We visited the Barley Mow pub almost every night where Steve would entertain us with his selection of music from the 50s onwards to the present day, Will and Cheryl was behind the bar and Alex and Marina was the waitresses in there everyone had such a smily face and we felt at home in there, we never made it on the karaoke with our singing as we would probably have cleared the place but we did join in on the quizzes on Monday and Thursday nights which were a lot of fun. Through Will behind the bar we booked up a trip to go snorkelling. The kids absolutely loved it as much as us. We left at 10am got back about 3.30pm, had luch too which was included in the price which was very reasonable for the amount of fun we had with Will and his father. The company was called Flippers and if you ever go to the Barley mow (which you should) be sure to ask Will about the Flippers Trip. It made our holiday. I think if we had booked it at the beginning of the holiday the kids would have wanted to go every day!
